Juhi's Personal View  #ruleoutThyroweight
"Health is wealth" A healthy women is the base of a healthy family. The Diva #juhichawla inspires by mentioning - "Life can be as normal and superb with a small pill of Thyroid."

She states this because her husband and her father-in-law are suffering from thyroid. Her own hair stylish has been suffering from thyroid past many years. Yet with simple medication, they have overcome this situation and are leading a life to the fullest!

Endocrinologist Dr. Shehla Shaikh gave the importance of women health. She explained why and how the symptoms of Thyroweight should not be ignored. Her basis moto was to educate every women with the blogger base that preventive measures for Thyroweight is the best to overcome it. One should not ignore their health.

My personal connection with thyroid came when I heard my social helper's daughter is suffering from thyroid. She was newly married and was expecting. But I could see she her working as normal as anyone. With thyroid her pregnancy was going so smooth with just simple medication and perfect care. Now she has a healthy baby boy.

Pregnancy related hormones lead to a decrease in thyroid hormone level. Untreated hypothyroidism in pregnancy can lead to certain complications like an elevated blood pressure during pregnancy, loss of blood during and after delivery and sometimes even a reduction in the intelligence in a child. Thyroid test should be done as soon as pregnancy is confirmed.
Normal range
Trimester 1 < 2.5mlU/L
Trimester 2&3 <2mlU

One should do if diagnosed thyroid.
*Cruciferous vegetables like Broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower are full of fibres and may interfere with the production of Thyroid hormones. So should avoid eating them.

*Once diagnosis, be on regular check up in 6 weeks, then 3 months and later 6months. But the check up should be on regularity.
